SENSINOL
Pruritus is a symptom of many dermatoses but also of non-dermatological conditions, with or without skin manifestation. Etiological treatment often alleviates the itching sensation but may not be sufficient. The SENSINOL range meets the needs of patients with non-histamine-dependent pruritus, not associated with a skin disease, such as pruritus gravidarum or itching in the elderly.

Pruritus and cancer treatments
Itching caused by cancer treatments is caused by several mechanisms. Indeed, many treatments lead to intense skin dryness, a source of pruritus. Other treatments are photosensitizing, resulting in redness and skin irritation, which also causes itching. Pruritus caused by chemotherapy may also develop in connection with more specific skin side effects of cancer treatments such as hand-foot syndrome or folliculitis
Trichodynia and cancer treatments
Trichodynia is a particular case of pruritus that concerns the scalp. More precisely, it is a pain perceived at the root of the hair, from the beginning of cancer treatment or much later, at the time of the hair loss and/or its regrowth. The pain is accompanied by itching, tingling, burning sensations, resulting in significant discomfort in daily life. In case of trichodynia, the mechanism of action is an increase in scalp sensitivity associated with local micro-inflammation.
