The AVENE Thermal Centre
The Avène spa, founded in 1743, is located on the site where Avène spring water acquires its remarkable virtues.
It has a spa dedicated entirely to dermatology and the treatment of skin disorders: eczema, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis, burns, scar treatment and post-burn and post-cancer follow-up care.
It won an award in 2010 for its high standards of quality, and was the first 100% dermatology spa to obtain Aquacert HACCP Thermalisme® certification.

Our spa offers tailor-made treatments and cures entirely dedicated to dermatology and the treatment of skin disorders.
As soon as the patient arrives, a spa doctor will draw up a personalised treatment programme, taking into account the skin condition and the duration of the cure.
Eczema spa treatment
Indicated for dermatitis and eczema
- Atopic dermatitis in children and persistent atopic dermatitis in adolescents and adults
- Other types of eczema such as contact eczema and those linked to venous circulatory disorders of the lower limbs
Cure thermale Psoriasis
Indicated for all types of psoriasis
- Psoriasis in all stages* (in flare-ups or at a distance from flare-ups) and in all locations
- Plaque, guttate, generalized and scalp psoriasis
Palmar plantar keratoderma
*If it covers more than 70% of the skin, it is called erythroderma and may contraindicate treatment. In this situation, contact your GP as a matter of urgency.

Our health workshops
The Centre Thermal Avène includes Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE) programmes in its range of treatments. These programmes are designed to complement the hydrothermal treatment and can be customised according to the specific diagnosis and individual needs of patients. Their aim is to help improve patients' quality of life through a better understanding and management of their dermatological condition.
