Clinical study on the safety and efficacy of EPITHELIALE A.H ULTRA BALM Repair Balm following superficial dermatological procedures in adults

Tolerance and efficacy of EPITHELIALE A.H ULTRA BALM Repair Balm on adults with irritated skin on the face or body caused by superficial dermatological procedures.

Population

44 subjects aged 18 to 77 years.

  • Phototype II to III
  • Presenting irritated skin on the face or body related to superficial dermatological procedures such as: IPL, Nd-Yag, fractionated CO2 lasers, superficial peeling, cryotherapy

Application of BEPITHELIALE A.H repair patch balm ULTRA BALM

At least 2 applications per day for 15 days

Evaluation criteria

  • Cotation physical signs: edema, erythema, desquamation and dryness (scale from 0 to 4) 
  • Rating functional signs: burning sensations, sensation of heat, tightness and tingling (scale from 0 to 4). 
  • Skin tolerance

Results

  • Significant improvement in physical signs as early as 2 days.
  • At 7 days: 
    • Significant -94%** decrease in edema (** p< 0.001 vs D1)
    • Significant -65%** decrease in erythema (** p< 0.001 vs D1)

Conclusion

EPITHELIALE A.H ULTRA BALM Repair Patch Balm significantly reduces burning sensations from the 1st application, as well as erythema and edema after 2 days. 

By day 2e, the investigator rates repair as good to very good on 95% of subjects.
