Clinical study of the safety and efficacy of EPITHELIALE ULTRA REPAIR (A.H ULTRA) repairing patch balm on erbium YAG laser-injured skin in adults
Tolerance and efficacy of EPITHELIALE ULTRA REPAIR (A.H ULTRA) repair balm-patch in women with erbium YAG laser-damaged skin compared with an untreated area.
Population
23 female subjects aged 26 to 49.
- Phototype I to III
- with erbium YAG laser skin damage.
Application ofEPITHELIALE ULTRA REPAIR (A.H ULTRA)repair balm-patch
1 semi-occlusive patch application for the first 5 days, then 2 semi-occlusive patch applications 4 hours apart from days 6 to 18.
Evaluation criteria
- Scoring of skin marks (analog scale from 0 to 10)
- Assessment of quality (analog scale from 0 to 10) and speed of healing
- Skin tolerance
Results
Significantly faster wound healing of around 4 days (3.86 days), after application of EPITHELIALE ULTRA REPAIR (A.H ULTRA) Repair Balm-Patch, compared to an untreated area.

This study did not reveal any safety concerns given the context of the study (post-laser study).
Conclusion
Post-erbium YAG laser, EPITHELIALE ULTRA REPAIR (A.H ULTRA) Repair Balm-Patch accelerates the healing process by 4 days compared with an untreated area, while improving the quality of healing from day 10 onwards.
