Methodology

45 adults aged 18 to 70 years were included:

• Post-shave: 11
• Solar erythema (mild intensity): 12
• Insect bites: 12
• Excoriated acne: 10

Design

Apply once or twice a day to irritated skin on the face and/or body for 22 days.

Results

Skin tolerance was judged to be very good by the investigator.

With an improvement in clinical signs from the ^1st application

• Clinically significant 17% reduction in erythema

• Clinically significant 67% reduction in dryness [p=0.011].

and improvement in functional signs:

• 56% clinically significant reduction in itching

• 56% clinically significant reduction in burning sensation

• Clinically significant 50% reduction in tingling sensation

Efficacy

Evaluation of cutaneous discomfort (cutaneous pain)

86% reduction in skin pain at D3 (versus baseline).

Evaluation of soothing efficacy

Soothing effect felt from 1st application, increasing significantly up to day 22.

Assessment of reparative efficacy

Very good reparative efficacy observed after 2 days for 48% of patients and for 89% of patients at D22.
