Tolerance and efficacy of CICALFATE+ multi-protective repair cream SPF50+ as monotherapy on infants, children and adults with irritated skin, under dermatological control.
Population
87 subjects aged 3 months to 68 years with skin irritations:
- Post-laser KTP irritations (n=10)
- Post-glycolic acid 10% peel irritations (n=10)
- Post-cryotherapy irritations (n=10)
- Post-pulsed light irritations (n=10)
- Post-tattooing (n=10)
- Various irritations (n=37)
Application of CICALFATE+ protective repair cream
2 applications per day to irritated areas (face, body) for 3 weeks
Evaluation criteria
- Clinical scoring of reparative efficacy (Score from 0=ineffective to 3=very effective)
- Clinical scoring of improvement in irritation (Score from 0=ineffective to 3=very effective)
- Clinical scoring of antimarks (Score from 0=ineffective to 3=very effective)
- Self-assessment of sensations of discomfort (score from 0 to 10)
- Measurement of redness
- Skin tolerance
Results
- Repair effectiveness demonstrated as early as D2 (48h): product effective to very effective for 82% of subjects, observed by dermatologist

Evolution of restorative efficacy (effective to very effective) over 3 weeks
- Red marks significantly reduced: -34% at 3 weeks (p<0.001, versus T0)

Change in red mark intensity over 3 weeks ** p= Statistically Highly Significant (p<0.001, versus T0)
- Very good skin tolerance
Conclusion
CICALFATE + SPF50+ Multi-protective skin repair cream SPF50+ applied twice daily:
- Demonstrated reparative efficacy as early as 2 days
