Clinical study on the safety and efficacy of NEOPTIDE EXPERT as an adjunct to hair transplants

Dermatologically-controlled clinical safety and efficacy study of NEOPTIDE EXPERT in adult men with androgenetic alopecia requiring hair transplantation.

Open-label, multicenter, randomized comparative study in two parallel groups (treatment group vs. control group).

Population

30 subjects included (15 per group).

100% men (aged 26 - 64) with androgenetic alopecia.

Application of NEOPTIDE EXPERT (treated group)

1 application per day (8 sprays to be spread over the entire scalp) 2 weeks before hair transplantation and for 12 months afterwards.

Evaluation criteria

  • Clinical scoring by the investigator : 
    o Overall scalp appearance 1, 3 and 12 months after transplantation (5-point IGA clinical scale) 
    o Hair growth (5-point IGA clinical scale)
  • Scoring by the subject : 
    o Cosmetic acceptability questionnaire
  • Skin tolerance 
     

Results

Significantly greater improvement in the overall appearance of the scalp in the NEOPTIDE EXPERT-treated group from the1st month after transplantation, compared with the control group (p < 0.05).
