Population

66 adult and adolescent subjects with moderate to severe scalp seborrheic dermatitis with associated pruritus

 

Application of KELUAL DS treatment shampoo

  • Intensive treatment phase: 3 shampoos a week for 2 weeks
  • Maintenance phase: 
    * Group 1: 1 shampoo per week, alternating with a mild shampoo for 8 weeks
    * Group 2: Mild shampoo alone for 8 weeks

 

Evaluation criteria

  • Clinical scoring of the severity of the scales (Squire score)
  • Scoring of pruritus severity by patients (NRS scale)
  • Evolution of patients' quality of life (DLQI score) 
  • Skin tolerance under dermatological control
     

Results

  • -80% less itching from 15 days
  • -89% lower flaking severity from 15 days
  • Anti-recurrence effect: persistence of efficacy on the severity of flaking during the maintenance phase, versus control group
