Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen that can be part of the skin microbiome as a commensal. Under certain conditions, it can adopt virulent behavior and secrete virulence factors capable of disrupting epidermal integrity, activating the immune system and exacerbating cutaneous inflammation.
I-MODULIA+ acts directly on the main virulence factors produced by Staphylococcus aureus, helping to reduce its inflammatory potential. By targeting these molecular triggers, it promotes the bacterium's return to a commensal state, where it coexists harmlessly with the skin microbiome.
