Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory condition that typically results in dry skin and itching.

A cellular study was published in 2016 in the Pharmaceutical Biology journal, led by Dr. Christian Davrinche, INSERM Research Director at the Pathophysiology Center of Toulouse Purpan Hospital and an expert in immunology.

This cellular study showed that I-modulia®, the aqueous extract of Aquaphilus dolomiae contained in XeraCalm A.D, has immunosuppressive properties due to its ability to stimulate production of anti-inflammatory IL-10 in cases of atopic dermatitis.
