Plant Extracts in Rosacea Management-a narrative review
Summary
This study, published in the journal Dermatology, examines the use of plant extracts in the management of rosacea, a chronic inflammatory skin condition.
The efficacy of these extracts was evaluated through a literature review of clinical and preclinical evidence, demonstrating their role in modulating inflammation and supporting vascular health.
Among these extracts, milk thistle extract, from which AngiopausinTM, the key active ingredient in Chronic Redness Concentrate Rosamed, is derived, has been particularly effective in treating the clinical signs of the condition.
This study highlights the potential of botanical ingredients as effective adjuvant treatments for improving the management of rosacea and promoting optimal skin health.
