Publication Summary
Senomorphic activity of a combination of niacinamide and hyaluronic acid: correlation with clinical improvement of skin aging
Overview
This study, published in Scientific Reports, examines the effect of a formula combining niacinamide and hyaluronic acid on skin aging. The efficacy of this combination was tested on three levels: ex vivo on human skin explants, clinically in a trial on 44 women aged between 38 and 55, and finally at genomic level on 30 women, where the expression of 101 mRNAs and 13 miRNAs was analyzed. This is the first study to demonstrate a clinically effective senomorphic effect of a topically administered product.
