Tolerance and efficacy of NEOPTIDE Expert anti-hair loss growth serum in women with chronic telogen effluvium, under dermatological control
Population
64 adult women with chronic telogen effluvium, randomized into 2 parallel groups (application of NEOPTIDE Expert [n= 32] versus no application [n= 32]) / Centre de santé Sabouraud (Dr. Pascal Reygagne)
Positive vertex pull test (≥10% hair removed)
Application of NEOPTIDE Expert anti-hair loss growth serum
Application once a day to the scalp for 16 weeks
Evaluation criteria
Primary endpoint: Tolerance
- Skin tolerance under dermatological control after 4, 8, 12 and 16 weeks of application
Secondary endpoints: Efficacy
- Primary efficacy endpoint: anti-hair loss efficacy using the vertex pull test
- Secondary efficacy endpoints:
- Anti-hair loss efficacy by the 60' hair count test
- Anti-hair loss efficacy and on hair quality perceived by the patients
- Impact on quality of life
Results
- Significant decrease in the number of hairs collected during the pull test and the 60' hair count test from the first month
- Significant improvement in hair density and volume from the first month
- Significant reduction in discomfort related to hair loss of -41% and its impact on social life of -37% after 2 months, significantly greater than for the control group
- Very good skin tolerance
