Tolerance of KERACNYL serum in combination with topical anti-acne treatments, under dermatological control
Population
39 adult women with mild to moderate facial acne treated with stable topical acne therapy for at least 2 weeks (Retinoids or derivatives, Epiduo®, Benzoyl peroxide)
Application of KERACNYL serum
Application twice a day (morning/evening) to the entire face for 4 weeks
Evaluation criteria
- Skin tolerance
- Evolution of physical and functional signs of skin intolerance to anti-acne treatments
Results
After 14 days and 28 days of use, significant decrease in physical signs:
- Redness (p=0.001)
- Flaking (p=0.0005)
- Dryness (p<0.0001)
After 28 days, significant decrease in functional signs:
- Burning (p=0.002)
- Overheating (p=0.0009)
- Pruritus (p=0.0078)
- Tightness (p<0.0001)
- Tingling (p=0.0039)
Conclusion
- Tolerance tested in combination with leading topical acne treatments
- From 14 days, compensation for the skin side effects of treatments
