In vitro study of the barrier effect of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream against acids and bases
Population
Cellulose membrane (Frantz cell).
Application of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream
Deposition of aqueous solutions of Hydrochloric acid (HCl 1M) and Sodium hydroxide(NaOH 1M) after application of the cream on the membrane.
3 test groups: Dexyane barrier cream, positive control (Vaseline), control (untreated).
Evaluation criteria
Colorimetric determination of HCl and NaOH in the receiving medium 4h after application
Results
- 99% protection against acids and bases.
Conclusion
Protection against damage from acids and bases.
