Population
24 atopic patients (adults, children and infants), under swimming conditions
- SCORAD between 10 and 25
- Swimming in the sea or pool
Application of DEXYANE insulating bareer cream
Application before swimming, to the areas where the patient usually has eczema lesions (face and/or body)
Evaluation criteria
- Evaluation of the evolution of physical and functional signs (scores from 0 to 4)
- Scoring of the insulating effect by the investigators
- Skin tolerance under dermatological control
- Cosmetic acceptability
Results
- Significant improvement in physical and functional signs after 3 weeks
- Effective to very effective insulating effect for 88% of patients after 3 weeks according to the investigators
- 96% patient satisfaction with the protective effect on the skin immediately after application
- Very good skin tolerance on all targets
