Population

24 atopic patients (adults, children and infants), under swimming conditions

  • SCORAD between 10 and 25 
  • Swimming in the sea or pool

 

Application of DEXYANE insulating bareer cream

Application before swimming, to the areas where the patient usually has eczema lesions (face and/or body)

 

Evaluation criteria

  • Evaluation of the evolution of physical and functional signs (scores from 0 to 4)
  • Scoring of the insulating effect by the investigators 
  • Skin tolerance under dermatological control
  • Cosmetic acceptability

 

Results

  • Significant improvement in physical and functional signs after 3 weeks
  • Effective to very effective insulating effect for 88% of patients after 3 weeks according to the investigators
  • 96% patient satisfaction with the protective effect on the skin immediately after application
  • Very good skin tolerance on all targets
