Population
Explants of healthy human skin
Application of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream
Deposition of a gel containing nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr) after treatment of the explant with the cream for 1 hour
3 test groups: Dexyane barrier cream, positive control (Vaseline), control (untreated)
Evaluation criteria
Extraction and determination of Ni and Cr (ICP/MS) levels after 24 hours in the stratum corneum, the skin, the receiving medium
Results
- 65% protection against chrome
- 58% protection against nickel
Conclusion
Protection against allergenic metals (nickel, chrome).
