Population
20 patients with chronic hand eczema
Application of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream
1 application, followed by 5 successive 3-minute hand baths containing a detergent
A fluorescent compound (vitamin A palmitate) was incorporated into the DEXYANE insulating barrier cream formula before application
Evaluation criteria
Product effective period: evolution of the intensity and homogeneity of the fluorescence after application (T0) and after the different baths (T1 to T5)
Results
Just after application
After 1 bath
After 2 baths
After 3 baths
After 4 baths
After 5 baths
Conclusion
- Protection against the irritating effects of detergents
- Demonstrated effect in patients with chronic hand eczema after 5 washes
