In vivo biometrological study of the protective efficacy of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream in subjects with chronic hand eczema
Population
20 adult subjects with chronic hand eczema, not during flare-ups.
Application of DEXYANE insulating barrier cream
Repeated applications at home 3 times a day before hand washing for 5 days on one hand only, versus the other untreated hand.
Evaluation criteria
Scoring of the xerosis symptom severity score SRRC (Scaling, Roughness, Redness, Cracks; scale from 0 to 4) based on photographs.
Results
Significant improvement in SRRC score on the treated hand after 5 days.
Scaling (Desquamation) ; Redness (Rougeur) ; Roughness (Rugosité) ; Crack fissures (Fissures) ; Échelle de 0 à 4 (0 = absent, 1 = léger, 2 = modéré, 3 = sévère, 4 = extrême)
